Frequently Asked Sliding Panel Questions:

QUESTION:

Sliding panel has a spliced track, and the gliders are catching on the splice. What would you recommend the customer does?

EXPLAINATION:

Make sure there is a bracket on each side of the splice so the splice does not flex and it is rigid and the gliders slide smoothly.

Check the inside of the track for sharp edges - if you find any shard edges please file them back to make smooth.

Sharp edges are caused from the saw when the track is cut

PROPOSED RESPONSE:

Please check the following:

1. The splice is flush and installed correctly.

2. Brackets are installed on either side of the splice

3. Uninstall the product and check the inside of the track where the splice is located for any sharp edges. If there are sharp edges, please file them down and reinstall.

4. If none of the above resolve the issue, this will require a track only remake.
