This cannot be done with every woven wood shade. The below only applies to those made with a wooden dowel, which are typically clutch or motorized, that were not originally ordered with hold down.
1. Hold Down brackets consist of two parts - the pins and the brackets.

2. The pins should be inserted into pre-drilled holes in the round wooden bar at the bottom of the shade.
3. Drill a hole in the center of the bottom bar. A 9/64 drill bit should provide a good, tight fit. The narrow end of the pin should be inserted into the bottom bar.
4. Install the blind to the wall or door. Position the brackets on either side so that the pins fit into the holes in the brackets. Mark the position of the installation holes onthe brackets and then pre-drill pilot holes and install the brackets with the screws provided. Depending on the mounting surface, anchors may be required (not provided).
5. Make sure that the brackets are installed so that the pins can be disengaged as required to raise the shade.
