Question: What similarities and differences are there between the Inspired Soft Treatments collection and the Arcadia Soft Treatments collection.

Due to these collections launching so closely together, and being so similar to each other, it is easy to assume that they are identical in regards to their specs. However, there are several key differences that should be noted between the two collections.

What they have in common:

Both collections were developed roughly simultaneously, with intention of the being parallel products for out different customer groups. Because of this, they are nearly identical products, with a few key differences (see "differences" section below).

  • Both are produced by Illumin8, with many fabrics available in both collections
  • Both offer a large variety of fabrics, available for both fabric roman shades and custom drapery
  • Both offer color blocking for drapery orders
  • Both offer five major drapery header styles, and four different roman fold styles.

What makes them different:

The Inspired Soft Treatments collection is currently in beta. This means that several changes have been made to the Arcadia collection as a result of feedback we have acquired since its launch. This means that these differences very well may change before the full launch of the Inspired Soft Treatment collection (currently slated Q2 2026).

  • Arcadia has more fabrics (428) than Inspired (307)
  • Inspired offers tapes and trims, Arcadia's is currently in development (1.22.26)
  • Arcadia has Price Group L, while Inspired stops at cost group K

    Drapery Specific Difference:
  • For Inspired, ordering Stationary drapery does not change any specs for the order -- anything can be ordered stationary. For Arcadia, stationary drapes can only be ordered to a maximum of 3 fabric widths, and are not custom widths. Stationary draperies from Arcadia will always be made with full fabric widths, and will cover the maximum amount possible with the number of fabric width ordered. Additionally, Arcadia stationary panels will have different coverage areas depending on if they are ordered one-way or split-draw.
  • Fabric widths in the Arcadia pricing tables are slightly wider than Inspired. This means that Arcadia customers may be able to order slightly more coverage area for the same price than their Inspired counterparts. This is most noticeable when ordering shades that are one fabric width.
